Located at River Mile 70 on the upper Kenai River, Jim's Landing is a critical entry and exit point for drift boaters and rafters. It marks the beginning of the non-motorized sanctuary stretch of the upper river.

What You'll Find
A gravel launch ramp suited for drift boats and rafts. No motorized vessels are allowed upstream from this point. Ample parking is available, and there are public vault toilets.
Location
Easily accessed via the Sterling Highway at Mile 58, down a short gravel access road. It lies within the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
Best Times to Visit
Mid-June through August for Sockeye salmon runs, and September through October for peak Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing during the salmon spawning phase.
