2027 King Regulations
Under the Kenai River Late-Run King Salmon Management Plan, ADF&G manages for an Optimal Escapement Goal (OEG) of 15,000–30,000 large king salmon (75 cm or longer). If the in-season projection falls below 15,000 large kings, ADF&G mandates closure of the king salmon sport fishery. Gear and bait restrictions vary by river section, date, and active emergency order.
